EA SPORTS has announced the Featured TOTW cards for FIFA 22. How this system works you can read here.
During the FIFA 21 season, the community has criticized a few times that the TOTW cards can't keep up with the usual promo cards during the game and therefore lose their appeal. The development team from Canada reacts to this criticism and now announces the concept of Featured TOTW items. Selected players who are to be rewarded for their individual achievements will receive a higher upgrade.
How does the Featured TOTW concept work?
EA mentions young Jude Bellingham as an example. His gold card has a 79 rating in FIFA 22. If nominated for TOTW, his rating would normally rise to an 82. The new featured variant would then have an 84 rating. From the release of FIFA 22, the new cards will only be given to players with an max. 80 rating who do not have a dynamic live item. They will be marked with a star above the rating and have the same function as TOTW cards for SBCs.
