Almost one month has passed since the official release of FIFA 22. With the first small patches and the necessary playing hours of the community, this year's meta is crystallizing. The players find out which passes are OP, which skill to use in which spots and which finishes lead to a goal. The latter aspect will be discussed in more detail in the following.

Finesse shots

The finesse shot has been one of the most popular finishing options in FIFA for years. This has not changed in FIFA 22. This is mainly due to the fact that the goalkeepers still misjudge the balls even after the first two patches. In this game, this type of finish is very promising, both inside and outside the box.

There are several aspects to consider when using the finesse shot. First and foremost, the alignment is crucial. Ideally, the ball should be on your player's strong foot, which should be at about a 45-degree angle to the ball. Perfect execution greatly increases the chances of scoring a goal. The finesse is very suitable if you want to move from the wing into the middle and finish into the far corner.

Execution: Shoot button + R1 / RB

Chip and low shot

Next we would like to tell you about the lob shot as a finishing variant in FIFA 22. The "chip" over the goalkeeper is sometimes better and sometimes worse, depending on the FIFA part. In FIFA 22 it is definitely a promising option in front of the goal. The chip is most effective in 1vs1 situations against the goalkeeper. Especially when your opponent takes the goalkeeper out of the goal and shortens the angle.

Execution: Shoot button + L1 / LB

Finally, we come to the low shot. The same applies to this as to the lob in terms of usability in the different FIFA editions. But in FIFA 22 it's definitely a more promising option in 1vs1 situations. We recommend this shot mainly in the box. It is a danger for the opponent's goal, both into the close and the far corner.

Execution: Shoot button + L1 + R1 / LB + RB

In conclusion, there are many different finishing options and all of them can be used in the most cases. For all finishes, the Green Timed Finish is more effective on the goal. For this you have to shoot and just before your player hits the ball, press the shoot button a second time. You have to weigh the risk for yourself, because your timing is key.
