This feature is a must for any of you who want to take your game to the next level. It allows you to create more space and time. With L1 / LB, you can make your player, whose direction you are facing, run. R1 / RB, on the other hand, makes the player whose direction you are facing come up short. This way you have a pass station. This feature is very important against good opponents.

Optimally, you can combine these two options. This way it is most effective to create a dangerous space or to play out of a danger zone. You can first imply a long run and then call your players again short. This will allow you to play either a long ball deep or a short pass, depending on the defensive behavior of the opponent.

Use in the game on the wings

One of the areas of use where sending / fetching is very effective is in the play on the outer lanes. On the one hand, it allows you to manually encourage your outside players to make runs when you have the ball with your fullbacks. This can be very helpful in opposing pressing situations, as you create another passing station by allowing your offensive outfielders to come up short via R1 / RB.

On the other hand, you can send your offensive outfield player long down the line again via L1 / LB if your opponent has pulled the fullback out of the defensive line. In addition, bringing in a player also works very well when you have the ball in a hopeless situation with your offensive players. All you have to do is turn around and request a passing station by pressing R1 / RB.

L1 / R1 and LB / RB in the opponent's penalty area

Another option to use sending and calling players is in and around the opponent's box. Here, for example, you can use your striker as a wall player. Call him short by R1 / RB and play a one-two with him when you drive the ball with your midfielders or pull into the middle with your wingers.

The other option is to encourage your players to make a run in the opponent's sixteen via L1 / LB, so that they break away from their opponent and move into the dangerous area. Then you can pass to them and try to finish directly. Here we recommend the slightly elevated passes via double X / A or double triangle / Y, so that the opponent defender does not get the ball.
